Plans are in the works for a large-scale cartoon exhibit of African American Cartoonist. The location will possibly be the Carter G. Woodson Regional Library branch of the Chicago Public Library, to commemorate the dedication of the new wing on the Vivian Harsh Collection of African American History. Although the show will be in Chicago, All Cartoonists of Color will be invited to submit pieces (up to 5) for the exhibit. After the successful sales of my collection of 1991-1994 Things That Make You Go Hmm... social commentary cartoons under the title of Continuously Dis'd by the System, plans are underway to begin production of the 1995-1996 cartoons. The new book will be called The Hmm... Files. (get it, like an X-Files parody. Everybody else is doing it, okay !) More details about when it will available to come.
